The bench raffle finished the last of the successful Aisha Project which left some funds for needed medical treatment for therapy horses. Aisha was placed in Frenchville before needing to be moved to Easton, where she needed to be with more than one other draft to work in harness. Her future will bring her to Woodstock, New Brunswick where she will team with another Brabant draft mare of the same color, in the hands of Raymond Michol. Neat, she is originally from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick. Saving Aisha unfortunately didn’t mean keeping her in Van Buren, but giving her a chance to do what the veterinarian ordered and what she was really born to do. We DO miss her. Thank you to all helpers and contributors!!
