MINUTES: Minutes of 02/12/03 approved as written.

OLD BUSINESS

TOPIC:  Bank Account, Expenses

DISCUSSION: Pam donated the set up cost and signatures by Nancy, Pam and Shelley. Bill Flag to ask for $300. of grant money for supplies. Pam will contact Cary accountant and see if funds can be transferred to M&T's account. Committee approved state filing fee of $20.00 be paid annually by treasurer. Treasurer's report presented and accepted.

FOLLOW-UP: None at this time

TOPIC: Program Funding

DISCUSSION: Discussed purposes of sponsorship. Nancy is developing a Resource Directory of business and contacts.

FOLLOW-UP: Distribute Resource Directory when completed.

TOPIC: Publicity/Fund Raising

DISCUSSION: Committee worked on a Calendar of Events. Nancy presented a draft of a letter to send to agencies and organizations that serve children with special needs explaining sponsorship and programs. Plan to distribute this with brochure. Calendar to include annual events of: Monthly meetings, March-Annual Fund-raiser Meeting, April - this year Limestone Rotary,

June - this year NARHA workshop, July - Limestone, (August)-Potato Feast Days.

FOLLOW-UP: Continue with calendar with on going events.

NEW BUSINESS

TOPIC: Web site

DISCUSSION: Al and Pam to meet and develop web site. Committee agreed to donate monthly fee at meetings. Cost per member will be divided according to number attending or sending in donations. Thanks Pam and Al!!

FOLLOW-UP: Ongoing development and revisions

TOPIC: Donations

DISCUSSION: Committed discussed keeping track of all time, money, etc, as donations. Don to research "in kind donations.

FOLLOW-UP: Next meeting

TOPIC: Scholarships

DISCUSSION: Two applications were presented for scholarships. Committee discussed at length process for receiving, reviewing and approval of applications. Applications not approved will be kept on file and reprocessed as funding allows. Both applications approved for funds.

FOLLOW-UP: Nancy to inform applicants. Pam will arrange payment of scholarships.

OTHER: Pam received 1 response to make a donation for our First Annual Fund-raiser. Yes! We consider it a success.

Meetings for June & July will be tentatively scheduled at the Academy House in Presque Isle

Discussed Dept of Behavior & Development and Camp for Special Needs.
