About Manes and Tails |

MISSION: To coordinate and promote a network of relationship based horse HISTORY: Manes and Tails began in 2002 as a concept of Nancy Dumond and then further developed by a dedicated founders group with the guidance of several mentors in Aroostook County. This group is moving forward to provide Aroostook County with a service accessible and affordable to all wishing to grow and learn with the ultimate teacher, the horse! ORIENTATION: Special needs people throughout Aroostook County have the opportunity to network together through Manes & Tails. Manes & Tails will serve as a referral source and offer assistance in developing programs, training equine professionals, and applying for funding, education, specialized equipment and improvements. Manes and Tails will also have the ability to providing information to interested riders as to what programs are available and in what area for participants. VISION: Manes and Tails intends to encourage growth and learning through relationships with horses. TYPE OF ORGANIZATION: We are a Maine Non-profit corporation, with 501(c) designation through the IRS, created to empower a cooperative network of riding stables facilitating programs for people and horses GOAL PLAN 1.
